UQPAY Launches Comprehensive Mastercard Acquiring Services

As a global provider of digital payment solutions, UQPAY has previously established an acquiring partnership with Mastercard. At this stage, our Mastercard-related services are now fully launched, supporting all online and offline transaction scenarios and integrated seamlessly with the Real Time Clearing (RTC) system. We would like to take this opportunity to systematically introduce the key benefits of UQPAY’s Mastercard acquiring services and help our clients leverage these capabilities to improve their operational efficiency and customer experience.

Omnichannel Acquiring to Expand Global Payment Coverage

UQPAY now fully supports Mastercard-branded transactions across both major payment scenarios—offline point-of-sale (POS) and online e-commerce. In terms of hardware, we provide EMV-compliant payment terminals that support magnetic stripe, chip (IC), and NFC (Tap & Pay) transactions, meeting the demands of modern retail and mobile payments. Whether your customers are from Asia, Europe, or the Americas, Mastercard payments can be processed smoothly through UQPAY, truly enabling “pay anywhere, anytime” for global users.

Real-Time Clearing for Instant Authorization and Settlement

UQPAY has completed full integration with the Mastercard Real Time Clearing (RTC) system, transitioning from traditional batch file clearing to a real-time, message-based data processing model. Through two clearing pathways—Clear Now and Clear On Demand—UQPAY can transmit clearing data in real time to the Mastercard network using standardized message formats, replacing the previous SFTP file upload approach.

The Clear Now model is suitable for scenarios where the transaction amount is fixed and the service is fulfilled immediately, enabling clearing information to be submitted concurrently with authorization. Clear On Demand decouples authorization and clearing, making it well-suited for use cases such as e-commerce orders, installment payments, and hotel bookings. Both models significantly enhance the efficiency of transaction data processing while improving data traceability and structure.

This architecture enables enterprise clients to integrate with greater agility, respond to exceptions more quickly, and maintain organized, transparent reconciliation processes—ultimately enhancing overall operational efficiency and reducing potential risks.

Enhanced Security to Reduce Fraud and Chargebacks

UQPAY follows a security-first approach to payments. For Mastercard acquiring services, we have fully implemented EMV 3D Secure authentication to establish multi-factor verification for online payments, effectively reducing fraud and chargeback risks. For offline transactions, our POS terminals strictly comply with EMV standards, ensuring every transaction is chip-encrypted and secure for both cardholders and merchants.

In addition, UQPAY’s real-time monitoring and data feedback mechanisms allow us to instantly detect clearing failures, flag abnormal activity, and provide automated alerts—offering a system-level safeguard for merchant operations.

Direct Integration for Improved Reconciliation and Operational Efficiency

UQPAY utilizes a direct-to-Mastercard processing model that minimizes intermediaries, optimizes transaction routing, and enhances overall system performance. After transaction processing, merchants can access standardized reconciliation files (T112/T113), gaining full visibility into settlement and clearing details, and enabling automated reconciliation and cashflow management.

Our experienced implementation and support teams also provide comprehensive onboarding assistance, technical training, and tailored operational advice to ensure a seamless go-live and long-term service stability.

Compliance-Driven Infrastructure for Sustainable Global Growth

The full-scale rollout of our Mastercard acquiring services marks another milestone in UQPAY’s advancement within the global card payment network. Going forward, we will continue to expand acceptance capabilities across more countries and verticals, enhancing our support for cross-border merchants, e-commerce platforms, retail chains, and digital content providers. Our goal is to build a globally connected, compliant, and scalable payment infrastructure for any business, borderlessly.

We welcome more partners to join the UQPAY ecosystem and, together with Mastercard’s global network and our fintech capabilities, unlock new opportunities and drive sustainable growth.
